Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
This policy explains what information FieldTechPicks (fieldtechpicks.com) collects when you visit, and what happens when you follow a link to Amazon. The short version: this site has no accounts, no comments, no newsletter, and no ad trackers of its own.
What this site collects
Server logs
Like almost every website, the web server records basic request information: your IP address, the page you asked for, the date and time, your browser's user agent, and the page that referred you. These logs are used to keep the site running, fix errors, and block abuse. They are not sold or shared, and they are deleted on a rolling basis after 14 days.
Cookies
FieldTechPicks itself does not set cookies for visitors. The only cookie the site sets is a login cookie for the site's own admin area, which visitors never use.
Analytics
This site does not currently use Google Analytics or any other analytics service. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.
Cloudflare
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it from attacks and speeds up page loads. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to do that, and may set a strictly necessary security cookie (such as __cf_bm) to tell real visitors from bots. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Amazon and affiliate links
FieldTechPicks is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click an Amazon link on this site, you leave FieldTechPicks and go to Amazon. Amazon and other third parties may then place and read cookies in your browser, or use web beacons and similar technologies, to collect information such as your IP address and that you arrived through this site, so that purchases can be credited. That happens on Amazon's site, under Amazon's privacy notice.
FieldTechPicks does not receive your name, address, payment details, or what you personally bought. Amazon only reports overall sales and commission totals.
If you email me, I'll use your address and message only to reply. I won't add you to a mailing list or share your email.
Children
This site is written for business and home-office users and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. This site works the same either way.
- You can ask what information I hold about you, or ask me to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. In practice that's limited to server logs and any email you've sent.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
